Description: Launched on November 14 1969, Apollo 12 landed on the moon in the Ocean of Storms. The Lunar coordinates of the landing site were 3.01239° S latitude, 23.42157° W longitude. The craft needed a precise landing to find a nearby probe which had previously landed. Success within 200 feet of a previous probe, allowed the astronauts to collect the probe.
